Summer (November–February): green, warm, afternoon thunderstorms; walk early. Autumn (March–May): clear, settled, the best walking. Winter (June–August): crisp days, cold nights, snow on the peaks and fires every evening. Spring (September–October): wildflowers and new growth after the first rains.
